Can any one help me calrify the following points
compensation payment(other than statutory) for the family of Deceased employee.
1. Which head of income (is it a Salary or Other income)?
2. Is TDS deductable at the time of payment

Compensation Payment forms a part of Other Income if it is recd by family of Deceased Employee.
According to me TDS it not deducted at time of making payment.
Tds provitions will not attract compansation paid to family member.
