Tds applicability to govt payments
Hi
W are registered company and we have agreement to use Govt building on the basis of rent now my query is while paying rent to Govt can we deduct TDS? and Govt does not have the PAN so please clarify.

Under the provisions of Sec. 196, no tax is required to be deducted at source from any sums payable to the government.
