Employee salary slip does not have any mention of employer contribution to NPS but NPS statement from PFRD show both employer and employee contributions.  Form 16 issued by the employer doesnot show deduction of employer NPs contribution u/s 80CCD (2) under new regime.  Now how to proceed with ITR as to claim 80CCD(2) or not? Learned counsels plz elaborate.

  1. Contact the employer: Reach out to the HR or payroll department to request an updated Form 16 that reflects the employer NPS contributions.
  2. Verify the NPS Statement: Ensure that the NPS statement from PFRDA is accurate and reflects the correct employer contributions.
  3. File a revised ITR : If necessary, file a revised ITR to claim the deduction under Section 80CCD(2).

Hi Team,  My employer contributes 10000 Amount from my salary to NPS but NPS Statement shows without GST 35.40 Rs less  9964.60 , in form 16 and AIS its 10000 , so what it should for NPS by Employer in ITR

If my employer is not currently deducting NPS, but I open an individual NPS account and provide the account number to my employer, requesting them to deduct the amount from my salary towards the NPS account, will I be eligible for a tax benefit?
