Dear Sir,
What is the limit for TDS under section 194J? I believe it is more than 30,000.
If a single bill amounts to 2,500/- each month, totaling 30,000 per fiscal year. We deducted 10% up to November '23, but did not deduct from December '23 to March '24. Is this acceptable or is it mandatory to pay?
Please confirm.

We deducted from Apr 23 to Nov 23, not deducted from Dec 23 to Mar 24, how ever total bills value exactly 30 K per year

not necessary, .....cause 30000/- limit is for one time payment ..............
TDS must be deducted if the payment amount in a year exceeds Rs. 30,000/-.

Note:: Currently, threshold limit (exemption limit) specified under section 194C is Rs. 30,000 in case of single contact transactions and Rs.100,000 aggregate in a financial year.
