What are all the taxes an individual needs to pay for working from India in a foreign project of a company which does not have office in India?

Quick Summary
If you're working on a foreign project from India for a company without an Indian office, you'll likely need to pay income tax on your salary. If you're engaged as a consultant or service provider, Goods and Services Tax (GST) might also be applicable depending on your turnover and the specifics of your engagement.

If you work on a salaried basis, income tax needs to be paid. If you work as a consultant / business provider, then depending on the facts/turnover criteria GST might need to be paid as well.

Hello Kev

Will working as an employee be allowed as the company does not have a branch in India?

What is the criterion of payment of GST?
