tax on textile goods
textiles was exempted from tax. now the dealers dealing in textiles have to charge 5 percent tax. majority of textiles dealers are not registered under vat. now less than 20 days to go how all the dealers will get registered themselves before the roll out

New registration is not started yet under GST.
If still you want then apply Under VAT within 2-3 days & get enrolled in GST.

Madam, I have same query, One person advised me to register under VAT and then we will be automatically transferred to GST. Is this correct process or we can wait till new registration starts
It is still doubtful that GST will be applicable from July or not, in such case you can't wait.
Better to register under VAT now & then enrolled in GST.
You will not automaticllay transfer to GST by registering under GST. You have to complete migration process.
