Tax deducted on the income earned for 2 months in india

530 views 2 replies

Dear All,

My Fiancee was in india for 2 months in the last financial year and earned around 73,000 as part of her salary.

Tax amount of 2,500 is deducted as TDS.

As her total income for the year(73,000) is within the exempted limit, can this amount be claimed by filing the return.

Do I need to have any proof of her staying outside india.

Dear Mahalforu,

You Simply file return, and show your tax deducted amt as per the form 16 as well as form 26as.

and no need for anything else.

As suggested by Rajeshwar, just file the ITR and you would get the refund
