Tan verfn. is on no. basis ? should site ask for category et

When we have TAN No. and verify the same why should the site ask for category of deductor , State etc. details. The TAN No. is only one in the entire India - Is it not ridiculous ask for these details.

Of course when we search for TAN No. as per name then also asking for category is meaningless. Because most the Govt. Organisations (including bank branches) say that they are autonomous organisations.

So it can give an option to search whether we want advanced search ... then category wise or state wise , district wise and OR Category wise.

Hi Ram Babu

I m a regular follower of your posts, here i m having a problem in registering a TAN a New user as this is the first time registering. when im giving the tan no it is asking for 26q1 of 2012-13 details which is a Nil Return How should i proceed further pls ur reply is appreciated

From your ? I understand that you did not venture to leave the columns blank and proceed.

( I imagine that the above will work out as the site is sympathetic sometimes. Today I placed request for a consolidated file which has only 1 challan and 1 record and the PAN No. of that record is wrong. The party got notice for the difference of the amount i.e PANNOTAVBL rate of 20% - amount deducted u/s 194C.)

Try if it works out O.K.

hutherwise file 3rd quarter return with atleast 1 record and proceed.

I have q2 but it is automatically asks for q1 details, q2 has 3 deductees i tried that also but its not working

then -note carefFULLY whether these 3 deductees are covered under 1 challan.

2 point. earlier 3 deductees need not be covered under that challan BUT NOW the deductee records most be covered under that challan.  If there is only 1 record covered by the challan then you enter only 1 deductee.

I have tried but no use anyway i sent mail to helpdesk, let me get the feedback and get back to you, thanks sir
