I WANT TO START AN ECOMMERCE BUSINESS BASED IN CHANDIGARH & WANT TO SUPPLY PRODUCTS(home furnishing etc.) & DEALS(digital coupons send on email OR Printed coupons delivered by hand) to chandigarh(UT) , panchkula(haryana) & mohali(punjab). i have already bought my domain name. I also have a PAN card.I cannot afford an office space initially .

Can i start from home?

You may start your business at home, though a trade license may not be issued for residential complexes. Most of the businesses start at home at the initial days.
Being a sole proprietor there is no procedure for registration of business. You may start it in your name. Check the applicability of VAT/ CST (since multi state sale is occurring) /Service Tax etc.
Open a bank account of current account type and dedicate the same to the business without mixing with personal transactions and ensure to link this to your e-commerce transactions. Route all the payments through this account.
Specify the terms and conditions of the business including jurisdiction for law suits etc.
