You need to fill the amount in column B1 - Salary/Pension ....
under Row (a) Standard deduction u/s. 16(ia).

In ITR 1 Go to 'Computation of Income and Tax' page.
In Part B Gross total Income.... go to row (a) .... "standard deduction u/s. 16(ia)" ...
There you can fill the data of 40,000/- or as actual. (its not auto-populated)
