Singapore pf taxable in india ?

Hello,

I worked in Singapore for about 3.5 years and was a Permanent Resident (PR) in Singapore. During that period, I used to get CPF (Provident Fund) which used to get deducted from my taxed salary. Now I am back in India for the last 3 years and my PR recently expired. I have the option to withdraw my CPF money from Singapore and transfer to a bank here.

Can anyone please clarify if the Singapore CPF money is taxable again in India ? If so, what are the tax percentages applicable.

Thanks

Sir, if you were Govt employee of Singapore, above mentioned CPF amount is taxable in Singapore only. If you were non government employee of Singapore, CPF amount is taxable in India.

Please refer Article 18 & 19 of India-Singapore DTAA.
