Sfm book- sridhar or bala

Try JB Gupta book if ur doing self study.

I also suggest JB Gupta Its very good for self study with Easy language and 100%  coverage of syllabus

SD Bala is good book at some point it does not cover total concepts and is also tough to study

I donot know much about Sridhar

So I suggest the JB Gupta

i want only 1 book of these 3 . no other options plz. i have seen lot of discussions earlier on this topic. but only a student who has read this books can  give a clear viewpoint.  he already has studied makkar sir notes 2 or 3 times and he will prepare for final from makkar sir's notes. he just wants a book for few topics like derivatives and forex concepts. his exam due in nov 2012

gopal can u plz tell why bala book is tough to study- is it language, presentation or numericals?

SD BALA

language is some what hard and also technical.

If u can understandstand that than no problem, otherwise it will be of much difficulty

I also heard that in numericals their are also much mistakes

I am studying from SD Bala

It has the easiest language i have ever read in any CA subjects book

I studied all the books and at last

I will prefer JB Gupta

I am not saying that BALA Sir is bad but its language is somewhat typical IT DOES NOT COVER THE TOTAL SYLLABUS

SO FROM THIS POINT OF VIEW I SAY THAT JB GUPTA IS BETTER

hi gopal.its language is much easier to understand but yes it does not cover certain small chapters but major chunk is being covered.one can always use S.D bala for concepts and J.B gupta for practise.i m dong the same.

 I agree with u ashima BUT ITS LANGUAGE IS DIFFICULT as compared to JB GUPTA
