One firm was running under properitorship till 30.6.12 and changed the constitution to partnership wef 1.7.12 consequently PAN has also been changed. The name of the firm has not been changed. The ealier proprietorship firm was having taxable receipts of Rs.8.00 lacs during FY 2011-12 hence not liable for service tax. The  taxable receipts from 1.4.12 to 30.6.12 was Rs.4.00 lacs of proprietor ship firm and Rs. 7.00 lacs during the priod from 1.7.12 to 31.3.13. Now the question is whether entire receipts (Rs.11.00 lacs) will be considered for servie tax liability or  it will be considered separetly for proprietorship and partndership firm?.

Since pan number has been changed you will have to apply seperate registration of service tax and surrender the old registration. Since, both are mutually exclusive registration the turnover should be considered as seperate for propreitorship and partnership firm and should not be clubbed.
