Service tax liability
we process rice in our sortex plant on job basis for exporters .neither we nor our clients pay any excise or customs .what would be our service tax liability.

The nature of process would be important. If it is in relation to agriculture then there is an exemption. If not then liable.
We clean , sort & grade rice taken as input
from rice mills either from millers exporting it or from merchant exporters for job work
We are registered as ssi with industries dept
Service Tax Applicable on Rice Sortex.
However Non Service Tax on loading, unloading, packing, storage or warehousing of rice as per s.no. 40 of not 25/2012.
