Self assesment tax paid but not reflecting in oltas

Query - Self Assesment tax paid online using netbanking, but not reflecting in OLTAS of income tax office

Hi,

I am Ravi Kukreja from Indore (M.P.). I deposited self assesment tax for FY 2010-11 on 25th July 2011 and fie ITR after that.
However, I got demand notice to pay the tax again as it was not reflecting in OLTAS system of income tax office indore.
Now my query is what can I do to resolve this issue ?
I have already contacted bank from which I deposited tax amount. Bank says that tax has been deposited correctly and should reflect in OLTAS system correctly, but assessing officer says that he cannot see the tax as paid.
I have verified form 26AS online. It is reflecting tax paid correctly under 021 Income Tax > 300 Self Assesment Tax for FY 2010-11.
I have also verified challan for any mistakes, the challan is filled correctly without any error.
Shall I file stay petition as I have already received 143(1) demand. I have already replied with 154 reply against 143(1), but further again I have received letter from AO saying that tax paid is not reflecting in OLTAS.
Now my query is what can I do to resolve this issue ?

What further action can IT dept take if this issue persists and I do not take any action?
How long it would take to resolve this issue and when/how tax paid will reflect in income tax OLTAS system.

IF it is reflect in form 26 AS then u take a printout of this and shown to the A.O that tax has been already paid. THis is sufficient prove to show that tax has already being paid by u.

You can send a reminder to the jurisdictional AO and cc the same letter to CIT

But be sure to mention in bottom as:

CC to : CIT

The AO's generally take up the matter seriously if this procedure is followed
