From income tax point of view,
STT is not added in investments while calculating capital gain.
however, if share income is calculated under head PGBP. den STT is allowed as deduction u/s 36
from accounting point of view,
the same can be added in cost of investments as per AS-13

say your sale value is Rs. 100 and stt is Rs. 2 and you get Rs. 98 in hand.
For the purpose of capital gain you consider Rs. 100 as the full value consideration.
