while paying the self assesment tax for FY2013-14,i had incorrectly entered the assesment year as 2012-13,and therefore the credit was not showing in form 26as.Subsequently i had given an application to the jurusdictional officer to correct the same in form 26as.However nothing happened and i filed my returns.However i have got a claim for payment for fy2013-14,as the same is not reflected in the form 26as.My tax consultant has told me that the rectification under section 154 and the old apllication for correction has to be given to the local IT office(jurisdictional office).Kindly guide me if this is the right way.
