I had received a demand notice for short deduction, I paid the demand amount with interest. After that I added this newly paid (demand) challan to the respective statement through online correction, Kindly inform the further action, do I need to revise the return through TIN-FC by downloading conso file, If yes then is it necessary to amend the annexure 1 party details which was shortfall. My default amount is still showing.

No Further action is required.It takes some time to update the details on the TRACES website.
How to solve short deduction error with traces online facility , if I mistakenly deduct less TDS rate than required.I pay the short deduction Rs.2600 +25 as interest. Then add the challan to the statement and then downloaded the conso file, make correction in Anexture-I but unable to edit the Anexture II. I submit the file created file to Income Tax Dept. But again I receive default notice with another 1 interest. Plz. help me with step by step. Thanks-
One question.. Have you just added challan to the statement and no changes done to short deducted deductees ?
If yes, Action Required. You have to do adjustments in deductees through downloading conso file & uploading at TIN-NSDL or go through online correction in TRACES deducter login with the responsible DSC.
Hi Bhabesh, Ann-II entries can't be updated (allows only PAN update).Please delete that employee entry from Ann-II and add the new row with new values.
Download respective return's Conso file change/modify as per your actuals validate & file revised return
