My client is running hotel/ guest house business in Himachal Pradesh . During the previous year 2017-18 his total turnover was Rs 6.50 lacs- approx. Now this year he propose to increase room tariff, ( all rooms will cross1000/- per room) from Oct 2018 onward.
Whether is he required to get registered himself under GST, as assuming his total turnover will not exceed Rs 20 lac , but individual room tariff is above 1000/- ?

If turnover does not exceed 20 Lakh in current year as assumed then there is no requirement of taking registration unless voltary he wants to take registration.
