Hello, I want to get a new MVAT number on my brothers existing business address. He has already got a MVAT number for past 12yrs and it is premises on leave and licence basis. He has no objection to it and all documents of the address are on my brothers name. Can I get a new MVAT no. on same address ? What papers will be needed ? Brother can give NOC sort of letter if needed. All my docs are in my residence name and i dont want to register on my residence.

Ya you can get the number, but noc is required from landlord, pan of landlord, light bill and society maintenance copy. Your brother is a tenant. his Noc will be not useful. other documents as mentioned in their sheets will accordingly be required.
