Hiiii everyone........

Is the following statement true....I came to know about this........In case this is really going to happen....can anybody provide me other details as well......

NEW PROGRAMMES ARE BEING STARTED IN PLACE OF THE THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS
1.EDP
---REPLACING ADP
-- A 7 DAYS PROGRAMME
--TO BE DONE WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF REGISTERING FOR EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME BUT BEFORE APPEARING FOR EXAMS
2. A PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME(DONT REMEMBER THE NAME)
--REPLACES THE CURRENT TOP
-- A 8 DAYS PROGRAMME
--TO BE DONE AFTER COMPLETING EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME
3.MSOP
--REPLACES SMTP
--THE RULES ARE SIMILAR TO THAT OF SMTP WITH ENHANCEMENT IN ORDER TO MEET MODERN TIMES

ALONG WITH THE ABOVE THE STUDENTS HAVE TO ATTEND THE PRESCRIBED NO.OF SEMINARS(PROBABLY AROUND 10) BEFORE APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP

No such information is avilable on site. It would be better if you contact your regional chapter of ICSI or make a direct call to institute. At present at institute's site following information is available-

The link given below is available at institute's website. It is an advertisement showing SMTP/MSOP at Mumbai. Hence you can make a guess that at present both are going side by side.

27. The existing training requirements include :

(a) fifteen months training with a company or under a Practicing Company Secretary;
(b) fifteen days training in the office of ROC/Stock Exchange/Financial or Banking Institution/Management Consultancy
Firm etc. and
(c) fifteen days Secretarial Modular Training Programme

The Task Force set up by the Council of the ICSI has recommended introduction of the following new trainings :

(a) Seven days Student Induction Programme (SIP) to be completed by a student within six months of registration to the
Executive Programme (Intermediate)
(b) Eight days Executive Development Programme (EDP) to be completed after passing the Executive Programme
(c) Fifteen days Management Skills Orientation Programme (MSOP) after passing Professional Programme (Final)

It is one of the point of ICSI Vision plan 2020 questionarrie.

And they have asked the current CS to reply upon the proposed change.

but Members have given the negative reply as after the implementation of new training programme they will not find the cs inter passed student to work as an article for only rs. 500 to 1500.

members want the articles at nearly the free remuneration

So, members will tried their best to reject the proposal. and institute is thinking for not adopting the new training programme.
