Reclaim excess TDS

I filed my ITR (ITR 4) with less TDS than actual TDS for FY 23-24. My refund has been processed.  With excess TDS, I am due more refund.

Can I claim the excess now? (if so, How?) Or should I do it next year when I file next years ITR?

You can claim the excess TDS refund now by filing a revised ITR (ITR-4) for FY 23-24. Here's how: 1. _Revised ITR_: File a revised ITR-4 for FY 23-24, reporting the correct TDS amount. 2. _Declare excess TDS_: In the "TDS Credits" section, declare the excess TDS amount. 3. _Additional Refund_: Claim the additional refund due to the excess TDS. 4. _Supporting documents_: Keep a copy of the original ITR, revised ITR, and Form 26AS (showing the excess TDS) ready. 5. _CPC Processing_: The Central Processing Centre (CPC) will process the revised ITR and issue an additional refund. Alternatively, you can claim the excess TDS refund next year when filing your next year's ITR. However, filing a revised ITR now will expedite the refund process.
