I had attempted PE2 in Nov2007.

Unfortunately, my Gr1 didnt go well although Gr2 was good.
I'm thus, worried abt Gr1. I might have to attempt PE2 again in May08. (hopefully, only for Gr1).

As there is almost a month left for the reslut to be out, i need a suggestion as regards how can i effectively utilise the 1month period till the Results.
Also, if i fail, what preparations can i take to make my preparation better for Gr1? Bcoz before attempting Nov07 exam, i had left no stone unturned to have a good preparation...

Pls help as i am very nervous bcoz M08 will b the last PE2.

Dear Saumitha, In the coming one month you can plan out in the following way for Gr-1. Read Company audit, vouching and verification and Special audits in the coming month. Then, in accounts, prepare for company accounts, single entry and partnership accounts. Regarding law, it is better to be in touch with the Business law. I hope you will clear your pe-2 exam. If you could not get through your Gr-1, you would have covered all the major topics in your syllabus. I will be awaiting your results. All the best for your results.

Hi Saumita, First of all just relax and have patience.As you r saying that u haven't performed well in gr1, but performed good in gr2,and if u r sure that u will be able to score marks in such a manner that set off of both groups takes u above 300., u need not to worry. If u still feel that a specific subject of gr1 is going to sink you (i mean according ti ur estimt u r gonna fai in that subjectl) start revising for the subject/group right now. be true to urself u wil get the ans whether u will clear the group/gr subject or not. dear be happyeverything will be fine. b.o.l Hemant kapoor.

You should give your time to read and be clear state of mind in ralation to "AS-ACCOUTING STANDAR" and "auditing and assurance standard". this may help you to get expertise in the field of accounting and auditing and also your thinking criteria in the vast field of corporate. Besides this may help you to clear CA FINAL exam at first attempt.

Dear Saumita, Do not be nervous. I want you to focus on important aspect i.e. read Audit and Law Practicals. They are scoring. That will lay the foundation for the PEII. Do Accounts only after declaration of the result. Think of the result as an event and start preparing. Nobody is going to tell you that you are not intelligent. CA Students are intelligent and hence they are CA Students. GOD BLESS YOU.

Hi everybody, This coming May 2008 will be the last exam for the PE-2 Students.Can somebody suggest me some good books to be referred for all the six subjects available with the latest amendments applicable to the May exam

Can somebody tell me whether the ICAI course material is sufficient if one has to clear his exams.

Dear Irshad, ICAI study material will be sufficient for the exams, but it would be better if you go through one reference book per subject and suggested answers for all the papers. It would be a lot of helpful to you.
