i have passed my pe2 examination in may 2007. now iam doin articleship frm delhi. iam registered with the final course new sylbus. i registered at approx september 2007.

now i just want to ask that when will my final attempt held

hiiiiiiiiii i want to know the date of result of may 2008 exams.when are the results going to be declared.?

I'm pe2 student. I've registerd pe2 on the base of passing pe1. I have given 5 attemts (including May-08). Unfortunately I could hadly passed any one of the groups. Please tell me whether am I eligible to additional pe2 attempts as extended by ICAI?

If I have to convert to pcc whether articleship to be started either before passing pe2/pcc or after passing pe2/pcc as awhole?

PE2 results will be declared on 30th July around 12 noon

@ Mahabtesh: This is what ICAI says: As you may be aware, originally it was decided to hold the Professional Education (Examination-II) upto to May, 2008. However, the Council of the Institute has decided to hold two more Professional Education (Examination-II) in November, 2008 and May, 2009 as well, in order to mitigate the hardship being faced by the following categories of students:

• Candidates who were exempted from passing the Professional Education (Examination-I) under proviso to sub-regulation (1) of Regulation 25B and are registered as candidates for the Professional Education (Course-II) and have also fulfilled the eligibility requirements.



• Candidates who are registered for Professional Education (Course-II) after passing Professional Education (Examination-I) / Foundation Examination / Entrance Examination as the case may be and have not yet exhausted five consecutive attempts (after having been eligible for admission to the said examination).

Candidates who are registered for Professional Education (Course-II) but have not yet fulfilled their respective eligibility conditions are, however, advised to submit the prescribed number of test papers before July 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009 and become eligible for appearing in the November, 2008 and May, 2009 Professional Education (Examination-II), respectively.

Since you fall in the 2nd category and have exhausted the 5 attempts then you have to change to PCC compulsorily. Comfirm from the Institute as well.

Now i am asking a question: I fall in the 1st category,ie, i havent given PE1 and was registered after graduation was eligible from May,2006 for PE2. SO after giving PE2 in May 2008 , ihave exhausted my 5 attempts (though i have appeared only in May-Nov 2007 & May 2008). Suppose i dont clear PE2 in May 2008(results are not declared yet) so will iget the 2 extra attempts as in Category 1 says or do i have to change to PCC compulsorily? I am freaking confused and the institute members are too. Can i get a clear the smoke response from here somebody? I will be grateful. thanks

Can somebody tell me whether the ICAI course material is sufficient if one has to clear his exams
