You may kindly check up from the Instititute website . i.e from www.icai.org , you will get right information. AS far as i think u will be allowed to take this May 08 PE 2 exam , which happens to be the last exam under this PE2.

Dear Jyotsna, yes, for CA(PE-II) student last attempt will be May'2008. you can give the exam as such i am also cleared gr-II but IN group-I i am not clear. pls suggest how to prepare the exam

Hello, I clear my exam PE-II group-II but i don't know wherei am lacking for clearing the group-i exam. i got exemption in accounts but in auditing i got only 24 marks after got 24 marks in auditing & 58 in Business law in nov 2007 attempt i got 40 marks in auditing & 38 marks in business law . I don't know where i am lacking please suggest i getting nervous for the last attempt how i will start my exam as i shocked with my result. please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!help me out. because i cannot leave the ca i want to be CA

i cleared my ca pe2 group1 in last may 2007.and appeared for group 2 in last november 2007.i was bit ill so i couldn't do the papers 4 & 6 well but ITCST.the results were out on jan 23. i was shocked to see that i scored 52 & 48 in paper 4 and 6 respectively.but got 42 in ITCST.so i couldnt make it by 8 marks.i am depressed. anyway there is less than 2months left for may 2008 exams. iam unable to think how to prepare. any suggestions.pls

If you have been registered provisionally(after graduation) and have not appeared in Foundation, then May, 2008 is your last attempt for PE-2.

Otherwise you have to compulsorily shift to PCC under the transition scheme and give your exams in Nov,2008.

@ prasant: Even i was shocked when i got 50 in Tax & 49 in InfoTech. These subjects were my strongpoint and i missed the group by 8 Marks. But now i too, mentally,, feeling the heat.
I have done all the subjects previously, so only Tax is giving me the problem with its amendments, but dont worry, it will be over in May!!!
Just keep one reference book and Study Material is enought and keep revising the practicals of Cost/FM and go through all the 5 Heads(at least 4 of them) of Income and do CST throughly.
Read InfoTech regularly.
I know its hard work but nothing will substitute hard work.

Dear Nidhi, there's nothing to worry, bcoz it doesn't allows anyone to achieve the goal. You should continue with your studies free minded and without tension. Just keep faith,& I hope u will clear the exams very well. Best Of luck...

Hi friends,

I am appearing for my PE-2 gr-1 exam this may. I just want to ask that if unfortunately i cant clear out this exam , WIll i get chance to appear just for Gr-1 by switching to new syllabus, As such this is the last attempt for PE-2 candidates, will i have to reregister myself for new course and give both the groups again or just can give gr-1 ?
