Query regarding CFA fees.

Others 1047 views 1 replies

I have just completed my graduation and am doing CA as well. From past one year i have been researching about CFA. As i am planning to do it. I got every information that i needed from their website.

However, i am just left with one query in mind. As we have in CA where you just have to register once and will have to pay only for examination. Is this provision also there for CFA- Global? Or we have to pay $1000 or more everytime we give the examination?

Please have a confirmed reply to the query as i don't wanna get confused.

Hi Sunny,

You would be required to pay the examination fees every time you appear for the exam. When you register for the first time (Level I), you would be paying $1050 or more depending on the deadline for the various stages of payment applicable (there are 3 in all, and you can find out more about them on the CFA Institute's website). This payment of $1050 includes a one-time registration fees with the CFA Institute as well as your exam fees for the 1st exam. Thereafter, you will be liable to pay only the exam fees for the exams which you are going to attempt.

In case, you are not able to clear Level I in the first attempt, and re-register for the next attempt, then you would have to pay only the exam fees for the same, which would be closer to $500 or so.
