Sir,

I am a Sr. Govt. Officer in the cadre of West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service and presently posted as Jt. Director (Finance) in the Department of Health & Family Welfare,Govt. of West Bengal. When joined this service, I was a C.A. (Final) student and passed the 1st Group of C.A. (Final) Exam. in May,1992(scanned copy of my Marks Sheet for Final Group-1 attached as a ready reference). My query is can I now become a Chartered Accountant after passing the 2nd Group of C.A.(Final)Exam. under the current syllabus? Please respond early as this very urgent to me.

Thanks,
Soumitra Laha,

Dear sir
as far as my knowledge is concerned u have to get urself registered with ICAI again.. U will be registered with the same ERO...
I think the registration fee would be 500rs

U can surely become a CA...
Even if I am wrong than too there would not be any major change in ur registration process...
U must call Kanpur institute.. they will properly guide u regarding this matter

(IF I M WRONG ANYWHERE THAN PLZ CORRECT ME)
