Please clarify , my client is a book seller, who get books printed at a press. The press is charging GST of Rs. 18%, while my books are exmept , hence I cannot get input credit..Please suggest any way out..

Charging GST is a liability of press operator. he has to charge GST as he is supplying all other clients also.

In case you are selling a product which is exempt under GST, than you cannot take ITC of gst you paid.

ITC CAN NOT BE AVAIL FOR TAX FREE , EXEMPT, COMPOSTION OPT. AND URD SELLER
