hey even i hv not prepared well...................bt according to me..................refer tulsian for costing its awesome, even i hv sajay agarwal bk bt without tkg his classes i found it difficult to understand, and for dt refer manoharan its totally exam oriented..................and go for full grp ........................may b ur luck favour u and u manage to get 50 in all 4 subjects........................go for full grp it wud b benificial ,as one subject may get balanced by others.....................all the best.....................

study as per ur capacity, there has to b quality in studying and not only quantity......................start all subjects together........................

Go for Full Group.

Just follow the following-

-Study Costing from Sanjay Sir

-ISCA from the Book that you have once.   THen try to remember only the headings in ISCA.

-DT from VG Sir summary Module and the case laws and amendments in RTP.

-After this if you dont have sufficient time, read IDT from Sanjay Bangar book and Mug up the Case laws and the amendments in RTP.

When i was in PCC i was having the same situation. One of my senior told me not to prepare only one or two subjects just go for the whole group. I went for whole group and cleared it. That was quite amazing for me.

So Just follow this

THANKS TO ALL OF U.

Samir, I would advise you to go for the complete group..And do not forget that you have 4 days gap for DT which you can utilise to thoroughly revise the DT and IDT..

Go for full group ... because you never know when luck favours you in CA.

holidays would surely be an advantage. Agreee with Neeraj.

And Do important topics first but don't compromise with quality because it cause too much trauma on exam days.

wish you luck smileyyes

And also one more thing, as you mentioned that you were busy in the office, so it is quite likely for you to have the practical working knowledge atleast of the Tax Laws and the same must be fresh in your mind. All you need to do is to give some theoretical finish to the practical experience that has kept you busy since  long and you will have every chances of getting through.

All the best.yesyes

Bro I took one month leave for both groups.... Just go for it.... If someone else can't do it doesn't mean that even u can't..... You should do it your way...::-). All the best..:-)

I WILL B HAVING MY BOTH GROUP CA FINAL PAPERS....IT WILL BE MY 4TH ATTEMPT...IN THE LAST ATTEMPT IN FIRST GROUP MY AGGREGATE WAS SHORT BUT IN SECOND GROUP I WAS FAILED IN COSTING AND ISCA....

UNFORTUNATELY TII TODAY I HAVEN'T STARTED MY STUDIES IN A PROPER WAY...AND I M FEELING VERY NERVOUS....

PLZ SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO FRNZZ.........

HELP ME...NEED UR ADVICE,,,,PLZ SUGGEST...

@ Samir Kumar,

I would advice you to go for IDT and ISCA ONLY.

Dont come to any wrong level of confidence Just because 10 people said the samething.

If you go for four subjects then there is very negligible chance to clear since very short period of time left for exams.

And whoever doing DT from T.N.Manoharan,they are digging their own grave.

All the best.

Hi sameer..........

to be very honest and straight forward , you don't have the time to prepare comprehensively .

unlike the 1st group there are three heavy weight papers in the second group.DT, COSTING,ISCA.

so i would recomend you to analyse past papers make a strategy and study accordingly.(exam oriented study)

since you don't have the time to cover each and every topic of a particular paper , you may leave some topics based on your analysis.

this time ICAI has given a golden opportunity of 4 days gap before DT exam , make the most of this oportunity.

prepare the questions of practice manual and last 2 rtp including current RTP ,for ISCA.

for DT & IDT amendment and case laws are most important.(use practice manual to cover the syllabus quickly).

for costing solve the problems given in module , if time permits prepare for theory portions as well as it covers almost 30-35 marks.

PLease don't be afraid ........... "you have nothing to loose...everything to gain"

take a chance then see what happens.

best of luck

THANKS,

SUVAJIT.

I am in a similar situation.. This is my first attempt for CA final, m appearing only for Group 2.

However, I have hardly completed 20-30% portion. I am feeling helpless. But we have 46 days from today (net 40 days only for studying). I think we should use this duration daily 12-14 hours with full concentration.

I am using the following books.                                                           Portion completed

Advanced management accounting- Class notes               QT, standard & marginal costing

ISCA- Class notes                                                                      one reading of full portion.

DT- Vinod Gupta

Assessment procedures, taxation of various entities, wealth tax, Salaries, HP, penalties   prosecutions (in progress)

IDT- Yogendra Bangar..                                                          Completed VAT and Service tax,

                                                                                                    Excise- in progress.

*** 5-6 RTPS, Practice manuals too ***

Dear friends, please suggest me for any improvements or changes...
