Can anyone tell the importance IFRS carries in Accounts? How to prepare IFRS from exam point of view? The study materials provided by ICAI for new syllabus do not  give much details about it. It just shows a comparative table & some running notes on emergence of IFRS. Should i study them thoroughly or just knowing the titles is enough? Time is running out & I don't have any idea to waste it. Please help me.

Read relevant topic from D.S.Rawat. No need to concentrate much, as IFRS shall be applicable from 01.04.2011.

All d best for your exams.

For CA Final students, the Institute requires knowledge of "significant differences" from Indian AS.

This is a very sad situation. It should be the other way around. We should be taught IFRS first, and then significant differences for Indian AS.

Unfortunately that would require an overhaul of study material, exam papers, as well as teaching. That's too much for ICAI to handle.

For theory M.P V is good

DS Rawath for Problems.

Thank you very much friends. This forum is amazingly helpful.
