Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a company can deduct Provident Fund (PF) contributions without also deducting Employees' State Insurance (ESI) contributions. It clarifies that ESI is mandatory for factory or company employees earning less than £21,000, provided the company has 10 or more employees. The post also outlines the calculation methods for both PF and ESI, noting that both can be deducted simultaneously.

For ESiC factory or company employees should be more then 10 , and those employees having Salary less than 21000/- ESIC contribution is mandatory.

Unlimited pf = basic salary * 12%

Limited pf =

<fifteen thousand then limited pf= basic salary *12%

> fifteen grand salary than limited pf will always be fifteen grand multiplied by 12%= 1800.

Esi = gross salary * 1.75%

Both can be deductions
