I have paid 1939 swach bharat cess on 07.03.2016 due for Feb 2016. So, i have delayed payment by 1 day. what will be penalty for it? will it be avoidable as yesterday was sunday. I have paid service tax on time i.e. on 05th March 2016. we are pvt lyd company.
You are liable to pay interest at the rate of 18% for one day. However, if the value of taxable turnover in the previous financial year doesnot exceed Rs. 60 lakhs, then you are liable to pay interest @ 15% for one day
