[Urgent help requested]

NOTE: Please forgive for the harsh language or scurry tone from my side, if any.

I am exhausting my 5 attempts of PE2 this June [appearing only 2^nd group this June] and than switch over to PCC. I went to ICAI requesting for re-registration under new scheme PCC so that I can appear for 1^st group in Nov ’09. BUT Institute straight away rejected for any chance of my appearance this Nov, '09 leaving no option for me but to CONVERT COMPLETELY to PCC and WAIT for another 18 months for my next attempt. It means that even if I clear 2^nd group in PE2 my 1^st group is due after 18 MONTHS!!!... they say that June30 ‘09 is last chance to register under PCC after which only IPCC will continue.

ITS LIKE MY WHOLE 2 years under PE2 have been wasted within seconds and they expect me to restart whole process again!!!!!....not even providing any waiver in first 18 months …which we were getting earlier …so what’s wrong now??? [I feel like stupid for not switching over PCC earlier and believed to ICAI for giving 18 months waiver to those who have exhausted PE2 and reconsider PCC by re-registering]... just exhausting 5 attempts does not mean am not eligible for further attempts by re-registering….I completely agree that I should have passed PE2 within 5 attempts but I was undergoing hard times which never gave me chance to study.

Now, I have to go with IPCC or Wait till results of June and watch if ICAI comes with some solution for students like us,

I am appearing CS inters next June and think that CS is much better to keep my future bright rather continuing CA, undergo 18 months, clear PCC and wait another 2 years for finals AND that too in a scenario where almost every ounce of my time and energy is going to be brutally sliced by my Principal throughout my articleship duration, with no time for CA finals study and no room to even continue CS.

ICAI should think on more human grounds and consider ONE THING straight that CA is not just a professional degree for us but it also a source by which we earn our livelihood. We never complained about less stipends neither WE HAVE DAMN GUTS to question why this transfer restrictions imposed.

WE will just sit back and take all that come to us with nothing we can do.

· What should I do???.......Just sit back and tell my family to keep patience for another 3 and 1/2 years and enjoy my stipends??…. obviously these small things are quite well beyond the very limited comprehension of the retards at ICAI.

i think u can appear in nov without any restrictions. dunno abt exhausted attempts but logically i don't think u will face any difficulty.

Hi Dost, This is one of ur friend providng you exact details of future attempts. The Information provided is after conversation with Miss. Tanuja working in Western Zone of ICAI, Mumbai.

If at all you dont clear in June'09 attemp for PE-2, you have to get converted to IPCC and not PCC, that too upto 31st July, But only on condition that results come on or before 31st july 2009 for PE-2 or PCC. At time of comversion you have to pay Rs.8000/- conversion fees, and wait till 9 months for your attempt. you might get attempt in may2010. or if you dont get converted upto 31st july2009 you will get only nov2010 attempt.

if at all clear your only first attempt in IPCC, you can start your articleship. but if you clear 2nd group of IPCC you cant start your articles. SO ALL THE BEST. Now you can plan up your studies, Either option of Post Graduate (M.Com) or you may join LAW for 3 years degree course, while you attempt comes.
