Hey Ketan Mine is also the same case as of yours, But i took conversion to pcc and started articles and still have to clear grp 1 of pe2(i was allowed to appear for pe2. I m pe1 student).

But unfortunately the registration for PCC was discontinued from 30/6/2009. Now only IPCC is there.

Now as per ur question relatting to conversion In IPCC well it can be done after results also. The day u get ur results and god forbids if u fail in same, then immediately take converison to IPCC. U will definately get Nov2010 attemp.  U will get exemption in Accounts, audit and law. Now for starting articles in IPCC u have to clear Grp I comprising of Accounts, tax , costing and law.With exemption in accounts and law u only appear for tax and costing(portion is reduced to some extent). Do not touch the second grp but only concentrate on grp 1 and clear the same by November so that u can start ur articles in Jan 2011.

As for Fees it is approx Rs17000/- as to best of my knowledge.

Ketan in IPCC u will get ur final attemp after 2.5years of completion of articles. say u clear in Nov2010 then ur final attemp will be due in November 2013. Ur articles duration is of 3 years and u will complete ur articles in December 2013. So i suggest u to better enrol urself in Professionl courses Like ICWAI(preferred) or ICSI. U will get attemp in June 2011 and if u pass then u will get final attemp in June2012 so by the time of ur ca final exams u will already have one qualfication. Ketan we are in such situation that as of now every thing appears uncertain till we clear our Pe2/Pcc. So take each and every decision very Judiciously and wisely.  I think u must be feeling the same furstraton and anger as i m , but dear be clam.....giving 7-8 attemps requirs lot of courage and persistence and i appreciate to u for that.  This time I hope we both will clear.

As for computer course is concerned well i think icai grants exemption for the same with condition that u have to complete the same tillur results are out.

Actually my group II is cleared n grp I is still pending. If i get converted to IPCC then  when my articleship wil start & when can i appear for final ?  Moreover tell me about subjects for nov 2010 exam.

What is the period of articalship for students who converted to IPCC from PE2 ?

and when will the final Attempt due ?

IS it 3 years articals and after 2.5 years Final attempt ?

Conversion from PE-2 to IPCC

hi Yash jain i need your help . I have completed my articleship in 99 and also cleared first group of ca inter in 99 after that  not appeared in second group. Could you pls advise which papers i have to cleare for second group in ipcc if i will convert my self in ipcc and wht fee i have to pay for that for conversion in ipcc. Now i wat to start study again and wat to complete CA . Pls giude me . Due to untouch from long time some confussions are there

Nice to read that ur continuing with ur CA course.

Well Sanjeev ur registered in old course and ur registration no. would also have lapsed. U have to Re-register ur self in institute. U will be registered under IPCC(formerly knwn CA inter,PE2,PCC) .As u have passed group one , u will only have to appear for costing, tax and information technology. To pass in whole IPCC u need an aggregate of 350mks in both groups. In grp 1 u will appear for tax and costing and u will have to ensure that ur total in grp 1 is minimum of 200(including marks of ur accounts and law) Suppose u got 50 mks in accounts and 50 maks in law(assumed) then u have to remove 100mks in combination of tax and costing(withminimum 40 mks in each paper).  Same is the situation in grp 2. Sanjeev, as u have completed ur artciles ship u will get ur final attemp immediately that is if u pass in Nov 2010,then u will get ur final ca attemp in May2011. 

But to appear for ipcc u need to do computer training(compulsory) and orientation(if u have not done both).
