hello 

I m going to appear in Nov 10 PCE Examinations, i heard that there is a change in SALARIES regarding CAR FACILITY, I dont know what are these pls suggest me if there is any........

Amendments regarding CAR Facility Sec 17(2)(iii)Rule3(2) applicable for Nov.are as follows:-

Car used partly for oifficial and partly for personal purposes

1. Car owned and maintained by Employer

upto1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 1800 pm (earlier it was 1200 pm)

Above 1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 2400 pm (earlier it was 1600 pm)

If Chauffer(Driver) is also provided - Rs. 900 pm (earlier it was 600 pm)

2. Car owned by Employer and expenses are met by employee

upto1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 600 pm (earlier it was 400 pm)

Above 1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 900 pm (earlier it was 600 pm)

If Chauffer(Driver) is also provided - Rs. 900 pm (earlier it was 600 pm)

3. Car owned and maintained  by employee

Exemption shall be allowed if the employer has made reimbursement,exemption shall be as follows 

Car upto1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 1800 pm (earlier it was 1200 pm)

Above 1.6 litre cubic capacity - Rs. 2400 pm (earlier it was 1600 pm)

If Chauffer(Driver) is also provided - Rs. 900 pm (earlier it was 600 pm)
