Payment to joint holder

Hi

A and B are joint share holders in a private Limited company. this company declared dividend on this AGM. as per rule dividend should be paid to Mr. A, as his name list first in the register.

 

Company received a letter from Mr. b, to pay his share of 50% dividend. can company issue 2 dividend cheques. 

if yes what is the procedure

No, the company cannot do so....if a request letter signed by both the holders then divided warrant can be issued in the name of second holder but company cannot issue two dividend cheques .....
