for General and commercial laws i would recommend S.S. Gulshan. Good book in Q & A format , with  solutions for past papers.

GCL is scoring subject, provided you answer practicals properly. By proper study any one can get 65+ marks in GCL

Well i follow Study Material for all the subjects as i was told to be the best one but apart from that i follow scanner and few other books like

GCL - Mukherjee and pandab authors - lawpoing publications

Tax - Taxmann Publications book meant for CA PCC syllabus and along with that a suppliment copy for wealth tax and cst is available

for Company law - corporate law pocket edition by taxmann (bare act) helpfull in exam oreinted preparation.
