ON BEHALF OF MANY CCI MEMBERS / FRIENDS

I've been an active member in CCI for more than one yr now...Iam blessed with 80+ friends who have been supportive and kind enough to interact with me on professional matters.. Its been a while since i've been thinking of posting this in forum.. Today i received a friends request with a PM who feels exactly the way i do and Iam sure many are feeling the same.

First of all,Lemme start by saying, this is not intended to hurt anyone or showing disrespect to anyone...As a right i guess i have the right to speak to my friends

The present trend that is being followed in CCI is that we get to see hell lotta repetitive posts...i have mentioned about this in a earlier forum.

But what the most nauseating thing is,the site is flooded with stuffs like tips...tricks...motivation...bla...bla.....these thing are repetitive and appear before each exam....but ultimately the matter conveyed on all messages are 99% same...members should recognise the fact that these are repetitive repetitive stuffs and should stay away from commenting on these stuffs....

Tips...tricks are good...but there should be a limit...not that when u log in everyday, the first thing to post should be - "Must read motivational tips....Must read how to clear CA"....Who should judge it is must read or not????it is we the members not the one who post the content..i cant even recollect when was the last time a particular member come up with a post other than his usual tricks...tips....etc...etc...and iam shell shocked to see some members promoting these posts...this is not gonna serve any purpose...(my personal opinon)

Ultimately what stands out is how well you prepare...your determination ,hard work and blessings of your parents,Teachers ,GOD and support of your friends...If you want to prosper, you gotta have the urge in you to succeed in your life and career...Motivation,tips and all have just 5% importance...Its easy to tell face the exam like this..study this...study that...and what not....preparation for exams is not same as 5yrs ago...many (copy paste) posts relating to tricks tips and all are based on ca exams conducted some 3 or 4 or 5 yrs back(proper editing not done...(Lol)...1st have an idea of what is being asked and to what level students are being tested....then come up with the tips, motivations and all if you are so eager to post that...i repeat what holds the key is not these tricks and tips, but the inner thought or vision about ourselves in future....There is no Short cut to succcess....(Famous Quote)

Qualified members in CCI should try to bring in articles which are relevant for current scenario...Ofcourse it take effort to do these things than copy pasting the repetitive stuffs....There are lotta things happening around us....But we get to see such posts very rarely....may be once in a blue moon....An article on DTC...IFRS....Systems audit...ERP....Forensic Audit...will be highly appreciated...When you qualify exam and enter industry we are supposed to know the emerging trends and not the tips, tricks and all...

This is out of my experience and the experience of many friends in CCI...Some people who post the repetitive posts dont care to respond to PMs...But boast in each forum as if all queries will be responded in timely manner....err...i wonder what is this timely manner...Coz i've sent a query to this particular member in 2010 and i havent received any response yet...first anniversary over...ha..ha..Lol....Iam not saying he must be good enough to handle each and every query...But he should atleast exhibit the basic manners of saying whether he know or dont no....Its an offence if i dont mention ANKUR GARG SIR here...i had a particular doubt in a particular area....He openly admitted the fact that its been a while since he has been into that field,so its better i ask someone else...He dint keep silent...even though he dint know about it he admitted the fact and guided me who is the ideal person to ask..That is true professionalism...That is what you call guidance or helping hand....Hats off to you sir....You are true Legend...Proud to have a friend and guide like you..

I have come across certain posts where by the person ask members to press the thanks button..Goodness me ..Is this people dying for an Ipod shuffle....U gotta be kidding then....The posts from this member keep on flooding especially during month end....Just keep a watch on what iam saying.. you will recognize that what iam saying is true ....AND THE FACT IS HE RARELY CONVEY THANX (wat you call as pressing Thanx button...)instead copy paste the member's comment as response..

We have had enough discussions on requesting to joining the Fan Community n all....So Iam not discussing much on it here...

The bottom line is :

If YOU WANNA HELP STUDENTS MAKE SURE U BRING UP WITH SOME THING USEFUL POSTS OR ARTCLES rather than the usual tips, tricks, motivation(Did i miss  some term?)If you are not willing to respond to the queries better avoid that sentence from the posts...Because you and me and many others knows that it is just for name sake...

Thank You,

congratas  anil and soory  not read it all ...just  few days and  all the time with u guys only

thanks

thanks sir for raising an serious issue

A race for getting more thanks and publicity only. Thanks for raising voice on imp issue

Anil, you have raised the matter on a serious issue!!! In fact CCI forums are spammed now a days!!!

Tips, tricks of the trade, motivational quotes, stories, poems... you name it, we have it!!!

Everything is fine, in moderation. And there is a big difference between staying motivated and staying focused.

And don't get fooled by blindly following the tips and tricks suggested. Gone are the days those guaranteed pass when one mugged up topics from scanner!!! Now a days students are tested exhaustivley on their subject knowledge.

So what ever tips one follows, one should be aware of the recent trend.

There are a lot of helpful memebers who help the students with out creating any fuss, any uproar and they do it in a very dignified manner.

I am not mentioning their names because most of them wish to be in private and keep on doing the work through pm or emails.

And if you take a look, lots of members who were contributing in the past, have almost bid adieu to this platform.

So to sum up the suggestions of all my friends-

Stop spamming the forums.

Don't post on a topic, for eg notification, circular, announcement etc if it has been posted earlier by some other person.

Try to maintain professionalism.

You are right Lekshmi....its been a long while since we have seen a post from legends like Ankur Garg....Instead the forum is filled with GOOD FOR NOTHING POSTS...U rightly quoted...SPAMS....Dunno when this practice will come to an end....

may be after month end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:P

Intensity, motivation and self-confidence are all interlinked. Each reinforces the other. The more success you have, the more confident and motivated you become. Success is largely depend on how you perform. So all CCI members should come with useful posts/articles rather than general motivational quotes, tips & tricks. They hv no use in practical life....

@ Radhekrishna and Tanya : Rightly said....

I felt it is high time we raise our voice....

Agree with ur each word frnd...

Yes i agree with you because today i realised that......

Same kind of repetative posts are flooding in CCI, which is rightly pointed out by anil.........

In a single day 5 articles by one person OMG.....

At few days back my best friends pulkit, balu, lekshmi didi told me to stop writing articles. Just for the sake to give value to their words i stopped writing articles.... from that day to till now i didn't wrote any article except that 15 min article( bcoz institute gives and annoucement recently)....

Today again they requested me,

from afternoon onwards i am thinking about this issue.......

Frankly speaking till today my way of thinking is in this way " if i post articles they will not useful to the students who are going to give this attempt.... So, i will post some motivational stories which will create some motivation for their exams and what will happened if i post when others also posting"

but now i came to conclusion that "this is not the correct way before the exams, may be i am spoiling students with my continuous posts"

This idea changed me a lot,

So again i want to give value to the words of my friends " I DON'T WANT TO POST ANY MORE ARTICLES, FORUMS, etc..."

But i will reply to the queries raised by my friends

I wanted to thank to Anil for raising such issue and pulkit, balu and lekshmi did for guiding me.....

Friends finally i want to say "my articles are not repetative"  and "today my article is repeated"

hai anil..this topic has already discussed before in the DHAVALS articles stating the repititions and tips etc..let us wait for somedays..everything will be going fine ..it takes sometime to set all fine..

All the good words....But let me ask you one thing...Are not we the one to blame....Because we encourage those kind of posts by giving thanks and good comment (Though not read in full). Members thanks and appreciate based on who is posting and not what is being posted. If a new members posts on a very good topic we dont even care to read but if an established members posts something (even if nuisance) we give lots of appreciation. We are the one to blame. Let us change ourself first.

Let us all decide to thank and appreciate based on the content. Thank the stuff not the member. Take this thank as your vote in election. Dont distribute it let everyone earn each and every thank. Lets appreciate good posts by new members, lets encourage new members to contribute.

From now on i will thank, appreciate and comment only where deserved, not otherwise.

Are you all willing to do so?

Agree with Radhekrishna . . . . It will automatically stop by the end of this month, when a new series of thanks start. I think major reason which i noticed increasing of point on thanks by cci from 1 to 3. It should be reduced to 1 again.

@ Madhu:

It is not the number of posts that matters, what matters is the quality of the post. That is one of the points raised here. And i did ask you to stop posting till exam seasons are over. I didn't tell you to stop writing!!!Don't get me wrong.

@ Sasanka:

Yup, you are right. Dhaval had earlier discussed this issue and ended up in being branded as a rebel!!!
