Old syllabus students who clears IPCC group 1 but not group 2 in May 2019?

As we know, May 2019 will be the last attempt for old students. If they didn't mange to clear it on that attempt, they have to register for new syllabus.

My question is, what would happen to old syllabus students who cleared in IPCC Group 1 but not Group 2 in May 2019?

Do they later have to write both groups in new syllabus? Or they can just write Group 2 of new syllabus and carry forward the status of clearing Group 1 exam (old syllabus)?
