Hi friends,

I’m Law graduate and practicing in Honorable High Court & Supreme Court in India, In Criminal & Tax Laws, I want to do C.A. course, but I have been told that a non commerce graduate cannot do C.A. course, is this true?

I have done my B.A, LL.B, MBA, Diploma in Taxation, Diploma in Cyber Law and Pursuing CS Executive Program & L.L.M,

My age is 32, running my own law firm.

I have been worked as an Accountant & Accounts Manager in various reputed companies in India as well as abroad too. (7 years)

expert’s comments are highly appreciated.

 Thanks in Advance

 Cheers

You already complete maximum sylebus of CA.......It is very easy and helpfull you.........Best Idea.

All 10+2 passed can do and even who has passed with vocational subject (As per recently notification

of ICAI).

Since you are a lawyer, Know tax also.....I thinks its will be little easier for you......However you just need to appear CPT with younger ones(May feel little awkward).....The new guidelines exemption for Graduates still not in force.....You have to wait for that if you want exemption else appear CPT

iam a student of noncommerce in 12th but i found ca easy  .u can also do it but since u say that ur age is 32 ,there might be many personal problems that u will face in that age that might affect ur studies.concentration is required more in ca to clear the exams compared to ur knowledge...
welcome to CA
all the best :-)

There is no proble for that profile for CA bcoz he completed 80% sylabus already........and it is a professional course so age is not a creteria in this matter even the 32 years age even it is better age to do the same.

Hello u have more qualification nd u already says working in high court nd u have also lawfirm nd i dont understand y u looking 4ca...sir here u get some comments ,i thnk they al are may be some of them passing foundation so they dont know hwmuch hard it is...bt my suggetion is dont look dis nd continue ur own passion...nd al d decision is URS.....ND if u have any doubt on my comment ask d students who r pursuing in CA and that to ask ca final or ca inter attempted students not foundation...den only u wil know d real fact...nd one more thng i wit al after passing ca anyonez life wil be more beautiful...dont mind sir

Hi, friends I don’t mind who is commented what, you all are very much ok with your position and comments.  I love to study more and more, so age is not a huddle for me, how hard the study may be that doesn’t matter, if you have the passion to do.

It means I can go for CA course right? Then I’ll join you as a colleague of yours,

Thanks for your valuable advice; I wish all the best to all C.A. students

That is the right spirit. Bye the way if course is not tough, you may not get interest also. After all It is not a space science that after 1000 year of study also you may not find its limit. As you nothing to loose go after it, I believe you can complete much before others may think.

no even the non commerce students can do ca course

if the aggregate percentage of a non commerce graduate is 65% then he is exempted from appearing in ca- cpt

I respect your desire and passion for acquiring more and more knowledge.

And there is no doubt doing CA will give you a lot more. You do not need to give foundation exams. You can directly appear for IPCC.

But in my opinion, if you are appearing in HC and SC, specialize there. Dont go for CA.

However choice is yours. All the best in whatever you do.

it is very nice of you that after acquiring and studying so much in lyf and been thru d pro rigour in ur workplace u still have a burning desire to know more, b'cos at this age[ wth due respect] , i have seen many people who are content wth their own work...

now coming to your question, u need 2 ask that why are u so much inline 2wards ca, is it b'cos of knowledge or for more flourishing practice/career, if former is ur aim thn there r other meanss but latter then i should say go for it, b'cos nothin better than a ca....it doesn't matter if u r a non commerce student..if knowledge is ur aim thn u can do easily icwa instead of ca b'cos that will not hamper ur professional lyf and course is very similar to ca... cos' ca u need 2 go for mandatory 3 yrs articleship...which is mostly verification and audit related stuff, which u'll find not that challenging, but if get a good ca firm esp big four thn it is another thing altogether....
