One can claim medical reimbursement from salary in form 16 Up to Rs. 15,000 per year if supported by bills.
Such bills produced can also be of any dependant members in the family.
u can take benefit of medical allowance for urself or ANY oF YOUR FAMIly MEMBER.(need not be dependant)
if receiving monthly medical allowance, its fully taxable...
if employer providing medical facility to u or ANY family member in a givt hospital or employer's own hospital its fully exempt...if receiving it in a private hospital anything above 15000 will be taxed as perqusite....
