hi i have been told by my friend that a notifacation was passed on sat 17th jan but the icai site is updated only upto 14th. so acc to her our exams will be in june.

In the history of ICAI exams have been re-scheduled twice because of elections.

That was in May 1996 and May 2004 when exams started after 15th May.

But a local newspaper named "Divya Bhaskar" of Gujarat carried an article on 19th January' 2009 that CA exam format has been permanently changed from May/Nov to June/Dec and that such a notification was pronounced on 17th Jan' 2009. But our website www.icai.org has no such notification on its board yet.

I dont think ICAI wud want to keep its' exams in the same months used by ICSI & ICWAI.

We hav to wait for a concrete notification...
