Manufacturer under gst

Dear Members,

We have some confusion on the following questions:

1. If a company is performing a part of the manufacturing process, say assembling of parts and returning the finished product to the original manufacturer, would such a company be considered a manufacturer under GST?

2. How are they categorised?

3. What is the rate of GST in such a case?
