Hi I am Sahana currently pursuing my Doctoral study in Communications.
I am going to start a project with a friend which has to do with conducting workshops and consultancy with Schools, corporates and parents. However since it is not sole proprietorship and a partnership, what are the legal proceedings?
I mean do we have to register? If yes how?

How can it not be a partnership? Are you not going to share the profits? If not, then it will be sole proprietorship, with one of you being the owner and the other an employee.
Registration is optional and has its own pros and cons. For partnership under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932. If you are serious with your projects, and going long term, I suggest you register.
