The basic difference is that main book is a detailed one explaining the topics in Detail while the handbook covers the topics in short.For example in handbook in the chapter-SEBI act,1992 the regulations & guidelines are not mentioned which are to be done through the main book,but handbook covers the topics  which are relevant from exam point of view,but if one has enough time to know in detail,the Main book is fruitful & more thorough depending on time & reader's requirement.................

So, 1) if I study only the handbook properly, its enough? (buy only handbook)

2) Or try one reading from main book and do handbook properly. (buy both books)

3) All matter thats there is the handbook in covered in the main book? (Coz the new edition of handbook will be available in August only-buy only main book)

handbook will also be sufficient alongwith study material

Handbook is better .. Only SEBI guidelines are not there.. Do it separately ...

i;ll suggest main book if u have a time in your hand as institute can ask case study type question in exam for which u r conceptual clarity is need to be good so go for main book if u have a time in u r hand , also if u will go for mainbook concepts as well as problems will automaticlly solved
