last date for IT returns
please tell me the last date for filing the IT returns for individuals for A.Y. 2007-2008 with interst u/s 234 C

31-03-2009 is the last date . After 31-03-2008 fine upto rs 5000 may also be levied.
last date for individual whose accounts are not audited is 31st march 2008, if late then penal interest @ 1%pm of delay on the tax.
for those whose a/c are audited last date is 31 july 2008 and for companies and others it is 31 october 2008
For AY 2007-08 ie acctg year 2006-07 is 31.03.2008 without any penalty

As per circular of Income Tax DEPT, For ASST YEAR 2007-08 , the last date for filling Income tax return is 29-2-2008 , FOR ALL ASSESSEE. (WITHOUT ANY PENALTY)
