Itr2 hash value error

Me too facing invalid hash value identified error modification not possible outside

I am using 2nd dec utility

Download the JAVA utility from the Income tax website.

Read Readme document and follow the instructions.

If you are using Windows, run ITR.bat

Unzip and extract the files in the desired path/location.

Regenerate the XML file by correcting all the mistakes apparent from the record, then file the rectification application online.

If you already have the rectified XML file in your PC, click Pre-Fill button in the ITR Utility window fill-up the information.

Click Re-Calculate button. 

Click Save button. If validation fails during save, it will prompt you on the right side of the window. Correct accordingly and try to save again. It'll save in XML format.

Log in to Income tax website and upload the XML file. This time it should be ok.

Hello Friends, assessee or their representatives who are filing Form 2, Rectification & getting this hash error, just use the 139(1) in the file as status instead of changing the section. It would work smoothly without this error. It worked for me & hence sharing with others.

You can file a complaint under 'Grievances', along with screen shot if "Invalid Hash Value Identified" error is showing.
