ITR V Filing to Bangalore Office

Dear Members,

I've efiled my Company return on 29.09.09 and got the acknowledgement from the local income tax ofice. But then I realised that this year ITR has to be sent to Bangalore office. )n 27.11.09 , i've sent the ITR to Bangalore office by ordinary post. I've carry forward loss in return. Does tha date of dispatch will be considered for calculating 60 days limit or date of receipt by bangalore office will be considered.What will happen if ITR does not reach to bangalore within 60 days.

With in 60 days means from the Date of E-filing ie 29.09.2009 (in your case).

check the status of your return u will know whether it reached banglore or not

Period of 60 days will be counted from the date of e-filling which in your case is 29.09.09.

ITR-V must reach to the Bangalore deptt. within this 60 days period.

If ITR-V is not received by Bangalore deptt. within this 60 days then Carried Forward loss of Current Year, for which return is filled, will be disallowed to carried forward

Ms.Jyoti,

1. Certainly date of e-filing is considered provided the return reaches Bangalore.

2. U can know the status of your return sent to bangalore either by calling to bangalore or in the website itself, log in to your account-->Go to E-Filing Processing Status-->You can find the ITR-V receipt acknowledgement number provided the reurn is received at bangalore.
