While uploading ITR-6 the PAN of authorised signatory is entered, but it could not upload. The PAN is included in the digital signature also. However it shows some error. How to upload the ITR-6 with Digital Signature?

First you need to update the digital signature after logging in to the account.
After Logging in go to "My Account" Link. From the options select "Update Digital Signature" and then update your digital signature.
After completing the above , try to e file. It will accept
If you have done this already , you need to contact Income-tax Help line only.
Sometimes , it gave me a problem when i used a system with Windows 7 operating system. It worked in Windows XP

Is it compulsory for an existing co. to take digital signature with PANo again. Isn't the new digital signatures are for
(i) NRI co.
(ii) New Company
(iii) Whose managing director has been changed
Please clarify the situation. Whether the existing co. who is filing return for so many years whose directors PANo has been with I. T Deptt. has to take new digital signatures.

Hi,
The new browsers (Chrome, IE8 and above, FF 3 and above, etc.) use a sandboxing technology which prevents the Java applet from accessing the file system to digitally sign the file.
This cannot be prevented in the old browsers. A workaround is to create a folder "C:\FakePath" in the root drive, and copy the XML file to the folder. After loading the file from this folder, you can then digitally sign the file. I have tried this and this worked
Thanks,
Suneet

Users can use Firefox 5 browser which fixes this fakepath problem accurately. It is tried and tested by us and works fine.
