Quick Summary
Yes, you can claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on laptops if your GST number is on the bill, as per Section 16 of the CGST Act. However, if you claim ITC, you cannot also claim depreciation on the GST amount. Depreciation can be claimed on the laptop's value excluding GST, provided it's capitalised in your books.

ITC can be claimed , but if it is claimed the depreciation in P/L cannot be debited.
Ok sir thank u.
1. You can claim GST ITC if GST number mentioned on bill ect.....as per Sec 16 of CGST Act, 2017.
2. You also can claim depreciation as per Income tax Act, 1961 on laptop if capitalised in Books of account but only on value excluding GST (i.e on value before GST)
